MAYOR BRAD COLE SAYS THIS WILL ALLOW POLICE TO RECEIVE INFORMATION ABOUT THESE UNSOLVED HOMICIDES ON A GLOBAL SCALE.THE FOUR UNSOLVED MURDERS INCLUDE THE DECEMBER 1992 PYRAMID APARTMENT ARSON FIRE WHICH KILLED FIVE SIU-C STUDENTS...THE JUNE 1996 MURDER OF CONNIE COLE-HOLMES IN HER SOUTHEAST CARBONDALE HOME...THE JULY 2006 STABBING DEATH OF RYAN LIVINGSTON ON WEST WALNUT STREET AND THE JANUARY 2007 MURDER OF FALON TAYLOR IN NORTHEAST CARBONDALE.
COLE ALSO ANNOUNCED THE CITY OF CARBONDALE IS ESTABLISHING A MINIMUM FIVE THOUSAND DOLLAR REWARD FOR INFORMATION THAT LEADS TO AN ARREST AND CONVICTION IN THESE CASES.
