Daniel Holmes

A Carbondale man is being sought for the shooting at the Evolve Apartment Complex.
Police say 21-year-old Daniel Holmes is wanted on a warrant of Aggravated Battery of a Firearm. He remains at large and police say he should be considered armed and dangerous.

Holmes is accused of shooting a 19-year-old man from Florissant, MO in the lower back Tuesday evening at the recently opened apartment building. The victim was treated at Memorial Hospital of Carbondale for a non-life threatening injury.

Officers say Holmes and the victim are acquaintances. They were reportedly inside the apartment visiting with the residents when there was a dispute, which led to the shooting.

Anyone with information about Holmes' whereabouts or about the incident should contact Carbondale Police or the Crimestoppers Line.
