A Carbondale man has been arrested for an attempted bank robbery Monday.
Police officers say when they arrived and entered the Bank of Carbondale on East Main Street around 1 p.m., a man identified as 30-year-old Darrell Hendricks of Carbondale was still inside the bank, armed with a knife.
Officers were able to subdue Hendricks and arrest him without further incident. No one at the bank was injured.
Hendricks is charged with Armed Robbery and Unlawful Use of Weapons by a Felon. He is incarcerated at the Jackson County Jail.
