Carbondale Man Accused of Stabbing an Acquaintance

A Carbondale man has been arrested in a stabbing incident over the weekend.

Carbondale Police say 36-year-old Nathan Bowles is accused of stabbing the victim following a dispute around 4:30 Sunday morning in the 400 block of East Sycamore Street.
The victim remains hospitalized with serious, life-threatening injuries.

Bowles is charged with Aggravated Battery and Attempted Murder.

Police say it's believed Bowles and the victim are acquaintances and may have been fighting just before the stabbing incident.
