Two years to the day of the fatal shooting, a southeast Missouri man is found guilty of killing a Carbondale musician in 2016.

The Jackson County State's Attorney Tuesday says 23-year-old Travis Tyler from Cape Girardeau was found guilty of first-degree murder, aggravated battery with a firearm and aggravated discharge of a firearm.
Jurors believe Tyler shot musician Timothy Beaty on Easter morning of 2016. Beaty was hit by a stray bullet on Walnut Street in Carbondale. Another man, Nehemiah Greenlee, received non-life threatening injuries.

Tyler will be sentenced on June 1st.
