Bomb Threat at Murphysboro High School

Building

Students at Murphysboro High School were sent home early Thursday after the school received a bomb threat.

According to the district's Facebook page, school officials were alerted to the threat at around 1 p.m. and students were dismissed soon after that.
Emergency responders searched the building and determined the threat was a hoax.

School officials say classes will be held Friday.
