The Assistant to SIUC Chancellor Rita Cheng is leaving for a job in Alabama.
The University of Alabama - Birmingham announced this week it has hired Jake Baggott as their Executive Director of Student Health and Wellness.
Baggott served as Associate Director of SIU's Student Health Center before moving to the Chancellor's Office in 2010, and earned three degrees from Carbondale.
UAB is currently renovating space for a new Student and Health Wellness Center - it's expected to open in August of 2014.
Baggott will start his new position July first.
