Constitutional law attorney and activist Sharee Langenstein says she wants to be southwestern Illinois' next State Senator.

The Jackson County Republican says creativity is needed to hold the line on taxes and that she wants to make sure that young people do not have to move to another state to find a job and raise a family.

Langenstein hopes to take over the seat currently held by Republican Dave Luechtefeld of Okawville, who announced earlier this year he won't seek reelection next year.
