Arrest Made in Case of Carbondale Burning Body

Tiesha Anderson

A Collinsville woman has been arrested in connection with the body that was found burning near Piles Fork Creek in Carbondale back in August.

The Jackson County State’s Attorney’s Office says 22-year old Tiesha Anderson was charged with concealment of a homicidal death. She’s expected to face a judge Tuesday, and is being held in the Jackson County Jail.

Anderson is accused of hiding the body of a woman in a trash can in a wooded area for the purpose of delaying or preventing the discovery of her death. The body was found after authorities responded to a fire in the early morning hours of August 30.

Neither Carbondale Police nor the State’s Attorney’s office are releasing any information about the victim until family can be notified and identity is verified.
