Area Families Invited to Free Event "Math, Music & Me!"

March 28, 1-4pm at Cedarhurst in Mt. Vernon Featuring PBS KIDS Host

Mr. Steve, Peg + Cat & Other PBS KIDS Characters

Carbondale, Ill. -- WSIU Public Broadcasting, the public media arm of Southern Illinois University, and Cedarhurst Center for the Arts, with support from sponsors SIU Credit Union and Modern Woodmen of America, invite area families to a celebration of learning and discovery at Math, Music & Me! at Cedarhurst.

This fun-filled, family event is free and open to the public, and will be held on Saturday, March 28 from 1-4pm at Cedarhurst Center for the Arts, 2600 Richview Road in Mt. Vernon, Illinois.

Kids and families will enjoy performances by and photo opportunities with PBS KIDS host Mr. Steve, meet and pose for photos with Peg + Cat and other PBS KIDS characters, color together on a giant mural, play math games, create art projects, and more.

All families will receive a free book after completing an event survey and will receive WSIU giveaways. Guests are invited to bring their own cameras and mobile devices to take photos and play PBS KIDS games online.

Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
